One thing we all crave is validation. We seek it from our friends, family, colleaguesand even strangers. We fall into the trap of seeking external validation, approval and acceptance so we can feel we are enough and valuable, and that we matter in others' eyes.
It's a natural human desire, but it can become a never-ending chase that leaves us feeling empty and disconnected from our true selves.
When we constantly chase external validation, we hand over the reins of our self-worth to others. We become slaves to others’ opinions, moods and judgments, often sacrificing our own authenticity in the process.
To free ourselves, we must start by recognizing that external validation is like a fleeting mirage in the desert – it may quench our thirst temporarily, but it can never sustain us.
To free ourselves, we must turn inward to the Love that is always there, and that is boundless and unconditional.
You are the creator of your own experiences and reality, including the eternal, unchanging reality of your self-worth, self-love, self-acceptance and self-esteem. In breaking through the need for external validation by connecting with your True Self, you find the true source of love and acceptance: yourself, where it’s always been.
You can liberate yourself from the chains of external validation and from being enslaved by others’ fleeting opinions.
When you learn to love yourself deeply, honourably and authentically through your choice of the numerous practices available today, your Life changes dramatically. Elements and circumstances that were previously stuck and unfulfilling, suddenly free themselves up.
The pursuit of external validation becomes a thing of the past as you bask in the radiant glow of your own True Self, shining forth like the sun.
I invite you to reflect on this pursuit and consider how it’s bringing you more harm and powerlessness than good.
Free yourself from the shackles of external validation and embrace the boundless Love that resides within, and that is waiting for you.
In doing so, you will not only find freedom but also become a beacon of love and authenticity, lighting the way for others to follow.
